The SEISA Olympics is the annual learning complex events for more than 6,000 students from across Japan competing in over 10 categories including sports, fiction, literature, speech, music, dance, cooking, traditional events, relay races and communications. The judges for each category are all professionals in their fields and categories! This special class has been held for 19 years as a "real experience" opportunity for students to discover their own talents by taking part in activities that they would not normally do. In January 2020, the first SEISA Olympics was finally held in Hokkaido.
The event consisted of three categories: Winter Sports (snowball fight), Para Sports (wheelchair curling, wheelchair rugby), and Innovative (e-sports). The event was a great success. The second Hokkaido competition will be held in January and will feature a variety of games, both virtual and physical, based on students' ideas. We are looking for participation from all over Japan!
Please look forward to seeing the unique SEISA style forward to seeing SEISA’s unique approach to education in Hokkaido is well worth watching.
