Ms. Mio WAKABAYASHI, a second year student at SEISA Kokusai High School in Toyama, Japan, has been involved in protecting stray cats since she was a junior high school student, feeding them, looking for homes for them and neutering them. Her work has been featured in the media.

Even now, living in a different area, she is still taking care of 21 cats. With the support of local people who support such a high school student, she is planning to open a share house with shelter cats this April. Ms. Wakabayashi's activities are expanding further, involving more and more people.
