Since its establishment 50 years ago, SEISA has been providing a wide range of learning opportunities for children throughout Japan and around the world, under the theme of "ensuring the right to learn".
In April 2021, in the spring of its 49th year, a new school will be established in Obihiro, Tokachi. The school will be a "SEISA Kokusai High School Obihiro Speed Skating Elite Academy" for high school students aiming to become top speed skaters. The school will offer a "It’s like throwing one stone to hit two birds” approach to learning, allowing students to grow as human beings and develop their academic skills for the future, while interacting not only with athletes but also with a wide range of friends.
SEISA Kokusai Obihiro Speed Skating Elite Academy provides a flexible learning environment for high school students who wish to devote their youth and lives to speed skating. The school also offers classes in sports medicine and nutrition, which are important for athletes. In addition, the students will have the opportunity to interact with other students from the liberal arts course to develop the human interaction skills necessary to become a professional athlete.
SEISA’s sports education program will be launched in Obihiro, focusing on each student's learning style and lifestyle, and fostering their ability to live. From April, students from all over Japan will gather at the SEISA Kokusai Obihiro Speed Skating Elite Academy to learn from each other and become professionals.
