Reiya OKUMURA, 2nd year student of SEISA Kokusai Shonan Archery Club, competed in the Kanagawa Prefectural Archery Tournament on Saturday, April 24, 2021, winning by more than 40 points over the second place finisher, to represent Kanagawa Prefecture in the Kanto Region. He will represent Kanagawa Prefecture in the Kanto Tournament.
Okumura said, "In terms of the game, I did not get the points I was looking for, but I won the tournament, so I still have a lot of work to do. However, I will accept the fact that I was able to overwhelm the others and win the tournament, and I will strive to become an archer who can overwhelm the others and win all Kanagawa titles.”
Okumura is a lifelong archery enthusiast. Last year, as a first year student, he worked hard with students from Bhutan, who are also the founding member of the club.
As a second year student, he will be leading the team as captain, and is aiming to become an ace player for Kanagawa at the National Athletic Meet. We would like to ask for your continued support and encouragement for the SEISA Kokusai Shonan Archery Club.
