On Sunday, May 9, 2021, Ms. Rii Saito (SEISA Kokusai Yokohama Rifle Club 1st Year Student) competed in the Kanagawa Prefecture Preliminary Round of the 2021 Rifle Shooting Kanto Tournament (Women's BP60WJ), held at the Isehara Shooting Range in Kanagawa Prefecture.

At first she struggled a little to get her sights right because of the large and spacious venue, but in the second half she managed to adapt to the characteristics of the venue and in the last 10 shots she was the top scorer. She was 50 points behind the second place and although she was disappointed that she was so far from her best, she did well. She is now looking forward to the next pre-Olympic competition, the READY STEADY TOKYO shooting at Asaka Training Ground, Japan Ground Self-Defense Force, from 16-18 May. Saito also won the Kanagawa prefectural preliminary round of the National Athletic Meet held on 25 April, and has also won the right to participate in the Kanto block tournament as a prefectural representative.
