By utilizing SEISA's diverse and flexible learning methods, some students are taking on challenges in the fields of sports and art, going beyond Japan to play an active role in the world. Some students have been able to challenge the world in the field of sports and art through SEISA. There are also many dramas in the regular and correspondence course competitions, such as students who moved to a different school and were able to enjoy sports and arts for the first time. SEISA supports a wide variety of sports and art activities.
The SEISA Kokusai Okinawa Basketball Team (Men) and Table Tennis Team (Women) participated in the Okinawa Prefecture High School Regular Course Summer Tournament held on June 6, 2021. The basketball team played against Tomari High School, a strong team that has been their challenge in previous years. The basketball team won the tournament for the first time in 12 years through persistence, which was widely covered by the local newspaper. The table tennis team also played on the same day, and although they regretfully lost to their opponents from last year's fall tournament, they too were able to earn a ticket to the national tournament.
We would like to thank all the staff members who managed the tournament despite the difficult conditions caused by COVID 19, and all the teams from each school who played against each other, and we look forward to the national tournament to be held in August at Komazawa Olympic Park in Tokyo!
