On Tuesday, August 10th, 2021, with the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games just around the corner, a delegation of Paralympic athletes from the Kingdom of Bhutan arrived at the SEISA Hakone Campus for a pregame training camp. This is the second time camp that the Paralympic delegation from Bhutan has arrived at the SEISA Hakone Campus, following the arrival of the Olympic delegation last month.
In Bhutan, the Paralympic Committee was established in 2017. This will be the first time for Bhutan to participate in the Paralympic Games in Tokyo. SEISA is working with the Foundation for Global Children to promote the Paralympic Games in cooperation with Kanagawa Prefecture, Odawara City, Hakone Town and Oiso Town. All the staff members are very excited to be involved in the preparations for this event, which is a page in the history of Bhutan.
The pregame training camp is one of the ways in which SEISA is involved in sports, with the emphasis on "doing, seeing and supporting". We would like to support the Bhutanese athletes, and hope that this will not only lead to good results, but also to stronger ties between the two countries.
We would like to ask for your support not only for the Japanese athletes, but also for all the Paralympians of the world who are battling with themselves every day to reach the top of the world.
