(This is the first place in the ranking which includes adults)

The following is a comment from Shigeta, the coach of the archery team.

---

The typhoon made the competition very difficult and windy. The boys had to fight for two places out of eight prefectures, and the competition was very competitive. Shigeta took part in this tournament as a coach of the boys.

All three archers were able to adjust well, and from the beginning of the competition, even in strong winds, they were able to increase their scores steadily, and all of them were able to shoot 72 shots without making any big mistakes until the end. While competitors from other prefectures made big mistakes in the wind and rain, the three members of Team Kanagawa covered for each other, and with their outstanding stability, they were able to overwhelm the other prefectures and win the championship. Okumura also took first place overall, including adults, and was truly the champion of the Kanto region.

However, we did not reach our target score and we found many problems. In October, the main competition (National Athletic Meet) will be held in Mie Prefecture. How far will we be able to go against the best in Japan? We are looking forward to the challenge and will prepare well for it. Thank you for your continued support.

Keisuke SHIGETA, Director, SEISA Kokusai Shonan Archery Team
