SEISA Kokusai Obihiro Speed Skating Elite Academy 1st Year Student, Akane IIDA, Is Showing Her BEST!
SEISA Kokusai Obihiro Speed Skating Elite Academy started in April 2021. With the start of the season, the first student, Akane IIDA, has been very successful.
From October 22nd (Fri.) to 24th (Sun), 2021, Akane IIDA competed in the 28th All Japan Speed Skating Championships at the M-Wave in Nagano City, Japan, placing 3rd in the 3000M category, despite being a first year high school student.
At SEISA Kokusai Obihiro, where Iida is studying, there is no barriers between athletes and non-athlete students, and the school is known for its supportive and friendly atmosphere. As the next generation of Speed Skating in Japan, we look forward to Iida's continued growth in Tokachi, Hokkaido!

3000m: 3rd place (4:27.24)
1500m: 6th place (2:05.61)

In the 3000m, despite being a first year student, she was able to finish in 3rd place.
In the 1500m, she improved her personal best by over 2 seconds.
