SEISA’s photo taken by the Foundation for Global Children (FGC) was selected as one of the prize-winners of the "Japan Photo Contest: A World of Diverse Values - Working Together, Living Together", held on October 9th and 10th, 2021, at the Global Festa JAPAN 2021 organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.

FGC's visit to Eritrea in 2017 has won a prize. The FGC's visit to Eritrea in 2017 was accompanied by Japan's leading taiko Japanese drumming group, "Dako-on". Children from Denden Camp in Asmara, Eritrea, were given the opportunity to experience Japanese drumming. At first, the children were not able to play well, but after repeated and gentle coaching by the group members, their playing gradually became more in tune. The members were also encouraged by the resilience of the people who live in such difficult circumstances.

This year's photo competition was judged strictly from 234 entries submitted online, with one Grand Prize winner, one Excellence Award winner, one "Like" Award winner and seven winning entries. You can see the selected entries here.
