SEISA Art Camp was launched in 2017. The camp brings together high school students from all over Japan who are interested in instrumental music, singing, dance, drama, art, fashion, visual arts, language and cooking. The theme of the camp is "KYOSEI" - living together in harmony and the students will be able to express themselves in a variety of ways in a limited time, with people, things, budget, space and "once in a lifetime" relationships. It is important to accept each person's expression naturally, to enjoy each other's expression, and to feel the liberation and richness of the heart of expression.
While the camp was cancelled due to COVID-19, "SEISA CANON PROJECT 2021" was launched as a spin-off event planned as a new form of expression. In this project, SEISA students will perform "Canon" (Pachelbel) and edit it into a video. The video will be used at SEISA graduation ceremonies and other events throughout Japan. Mr. Taichi AKUTSU, a well-known violinist and the teacher at SEISA high schools as well as the university, and other SEISA music professionals and teachers will join the Executive Committee. A total of 50 students from junior high and high schools across Japan have gathered to start this project.
A new SEISA Art Camp has begun, with the theme of "Having Music to Enjoy for a Lifetime". Please look forward to the completion of this project.
